Kusser quien proviene del puerto de Los \u00c1ngeles-Long Beach, con el mismo cargo, sustituye a Randy. J Howe, quien se retir\u00f3 luego de 34 a\u00f1os de servicio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como Director del Campo de Operaciones del Sector Laredo, el nombramiento para Kusser, mueve a Eugene E. Crawford quien fung\u00eda como titular interino, a Director Asistente del Puerto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kusser se dijo entusiasmado de poder trabajar a la vez con el gobierno y la iniciativa privada, para asegurar la frontera al tiempo de innovar acciones para una m\u00e1s fluida y segura actividad de comercio internacional de mercanc\u00edas y cruce de personas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kusser <\/strong>estar\u00e1 al frente de 8 puertos fronterizos con 23 cruces binacionales terrestres, 6 aeropuertos y 1 puerto mar\u00edtimo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El a\u00f1o 2022 se manejaron 279 mil millones de d\u00f3lares en mercanc\u00edas en toda esa infraestructura ya detallada del \u00e1rea de Laredo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los oficiales de <strong>CBP <\/strong>tuvieron que ver con; 54 mil 692 libras de drogas aseguradas, narc\u00f3ticos estimados en 436 millones de d\u00f3lares, a la vez que se procesaba y daba tramite a 4.2 millones de camiones de carga; as\u00ed como a 19.2 millones de veh\u00edculos ligeros o tur\u00edsticos; m\u00e1s 8.4 millones de peatones; y 51 mil 239 autobuses de pasajeros binacionales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aduanas y Protecci\u00f3n Fronteriza (CBP) tiene nuevo Director del Sector Laredo que abarca la frontera desde Del R\u00edo hasta Brownsville, Texas, es Donald R.
