Charlie J. Franta III<\/strong> lleg\u00f3 en <strong>sustituci\u00f3n de Erika Zielke,<\/strong> quien cumpli\u00f3 su gesti\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de dos a\u00f1os al <strong>frente del consulado general norteamericano.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antes de su nombramiento actual, Charlie J. Franta se desempe\u00f1\u00f3<strong> como Ministro Consejero<\/strong> (Deputy Chief of Mission) en la <strong>Embajada de Estados Unidos en Puerto Espa\u00f1a, Trinidad y Tobago.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingres\u00f3 al Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos en 2001 y ha servido en las embajadas estadounidenses en San Jos\u00e9, Buenos Aires, Asunci\u00f3n, Brasilia, Gaborone, Kabul, Ciudad de M\u00e9xico y San Salvador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antes de incorporarse al servicio diplom\u00e1tico, sirvi\u00f3 en el Cuerpo de Marines de Estados Unidos entre 1986 y 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es licenciado en Administraci\u00f3n de Empresas por la Universidad de Maryland y habla espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Consulado General dio a conocer el arribo del nuevo c\u00f3nsul, que en los siguientes d\u00edas empezar\u00e1 reuniones con autoridades y l\u00edderes de la comunidad para continuar con las relaciones diplom\u00e1ticas en esta frontera, que es importante no solo por el comercio internacional, sino porque es considerada una misma comunidad binacional.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Un nuevo c\u00f3nsul de Estados Unidos fue nombrado en Nuevo Laredo.
