No me corresponde a m\u00ed valorar en qu\u00e9 medida ese objetivo se alcanz\u00f3. Ser\u00e1n nuestras sentencias las que dar\u00e1n cuenta de ello. Ser\u00e1 la sociedad y la historia misma, las que juzgar\u00e1n a quienes hemos juzgado\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3<strong> la ministra presidenta del Supremo, Norma Pi\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al concluir la sesi\u00f3n, Pi\u00f1a reconoci\u00f3 que con esta acci\u00f3n culminar\u00eda un<strong> \u201cciclo fundamental de la vida p\u00fablica mexicana\u201d<\/strong> la cual inici\u00f3 hace poco m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas, con una reforma en 1994 que implic\u00f3 la reducci\u00f3n del n\u00famero de ministros de 26 a 11, cambios en los requisitos para acceder al cargo, y la creaci\u00f3n del Consejo de la Judicatura Federal (CJF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEsta historia se ha escrito con debates intensos, disensos fecundos y consensos que, lejos de aplacar a la diversidad, han fortalecido el n\u00facleo de nuestra democracia. Este instante, cargado de memoria y de futuro, es un recordatorio de que<strong> la justicia no es una obra concluida, sino una construcci\u00f3n viva que nos trasciende<\/strong>\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ministra destac\u00f3 que la SCJN ha sido una <strong>\u201cpiedra angular a la justicia constitucional\u201d<\/strong> y el m\u00e1ximo garante del ordenamiento jur\u00eddico nacional, as\u00ed como \u201cun basti\u00f3n en la defensa de la democracia y las libertades de todas las personas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visiblemente conmovida, <strong>Pi\u00f1a, quien fue la primera mujer en presidir el Supremo mexicano,<\/strong> dijo que no correspond\u00eda a ella valorar si se logr\u00f3 la legitimidad de la SCJN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSer\u00e1n nuestras sentencias las que dar\u00e1n cuenta de ello. Ser\u00e1 la sociedad y la historia misma las que juzgar\u00e1n a quienes hemos juzgado\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En medio de la sesi\u00f3n, en el exterior del recinto, un grupo de al menos 30 manifestantes de diferentes organizaciones civiles, protestaron contra los magistrados Felipe de la Mata y Felipe Fuentes Barrera, a quienes acusaron de<strong> \u201ctraidores de la democracia\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se\u00f1alaron que la elecci\u00f3n del pasado 1 de junio fue \u201cla m\u00e1s fraudulenta en la historia del pa\u00eds\u201d y pidieron a<strong> la SCJN no convertirse en \u201cotro sat\u00e9lite del partido gobernante\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por la ma\u00f1ana, durante su conferencia diaria, la presidenta de M\u00e9xico, Claudia Sheinbaum, asegur\u00f3 que con la entrada de los nueve ministros electos, encabezados por Hugo Aguilar, llega <strong>\u201cel fin de una era en el Poder Judicial\u201d,<\/strong> el cual, dijo, estaba plagado de nepotismo dentro de las instituciones judiciales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que a partir del 1 de septiembre, cuando tomen posesi\u00f3n los nuevos ministros, <strong>habr\u00e1 un \u201cmejor\u201d Poder Judicial.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInicia una nueva era a partir del 1 de septiembre y va a ser mejor, de eso no tenemos la menor duda\u201d, dijo la gobernante mexicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La elecci\u00f3n judicial, derivada de una reforma constitucional impulsada por el presidente Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador (2018-2024), con el respaldo de Sheinbaum, entre otros puntos, redujo de once a nueve los ministros del Supremo, y cre\u00f3 un nuevo Tribunal de Disciplina Judicial que vigilar\u00e1 a todos los jueces del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Naci\u00f3n (SCJN) celebr\u00f3 este martes su \u00faltima sesi\u00f3n previa a la renovaci\u00f3n del Poder Judicial el pr\u00f3ximo 1 de septiembre, que por primera vez tendr\u00e1 en su totalidad ministros electos por voto popular. \u201cLa Suprema Corte ha recorrido un largo camino para construir su legitimidad.
