Un estadounidense de nombre Scott Harvey \u201cN\u201d, de 41 a\u00f1os, fue detenido al intentar ingresar armas de alto calibre<\/strong> a M\u00e9xico por la frontera<\/strong> con Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con un comunicado conjunto, el extranjero intent\u00f3 ingresar al pa\u00eds un arsenal y municiones dentro de un veh\u00edculo<\/strong>, en Tijuana, Baja California por el el puente internacional \u201cEl Chaparral\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Producto del fortalecimiento de la seguridad y vigilancia en esa estructura, al realizar inspecciones aleatorias, elementos de seguridad tuvieron contacto con el conductor de un veh\u00edculo con vidrios polarizados que imped\u00eda la visibilidad dentro de la unidad<\/strong>, motivo por el cual le solicitaron detener su marcha para realizar una inspecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante la revisi\u00f3n, los efectivos de seguridad localizaron dentro del veh\u00edculo tres armas largas, dos armas cortas, 19 cargadores, m\u00e1s de 2 mil cartuchos \u00fatiles de diferentes calibres<\/strong>, as\u00ed como tres miras telesc\u00f3picas para armas y un telescopio, por lo que, de inmediato, el conductor fue detenido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La detenci\u00f3n se logr\u00f3 como parte del reforzamiento a la seguridad en la frontera norte del pa\u00eds, en el que participan elementos de la Secretar\u00eda de la Defensa Nacional (Defensa), Secretar\u00eda de Marina (Semar), Fiscal\u00eda General de la Rep\u00fablica (FGR), Guardia Nacional (GN), Secretar\u00eda de Seguridad y Protecci\u00f3n Ciudadana (SSPC), junto con la Agencia Nacional de Aduanas de M\u00e9xico (ANAM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al detenido de nacionalidad estadounidense se le informaron sus derechos constitucionales y fue puesto a disposici\u00f3n, junto con lo asegurado, ante el agente del Ministerio P\u00fablico correspondiente, quien determinar\u00e1 su situaci\u00f3n legal<\/strong> y continuar\u00e1 con las investigaciones pertinentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
