En Tamaulipas<\/strong> contin\u00faan en aumento los casos de viruela s\u00edmica<\/strong>. Durante la \u00faltima quincena se atendi\u00f3 a cuatro nuevos pacientes contagiados, por lo que ya llega a 22 el n\u00famero de enfermos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hace dos semanas la entidad ten\u00eda un registro de 18 casos, cifra que conforme al \u00faltimo reporte de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud federal al 27 de diciembre, presenta un acumulado de 22<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De estos, 21 fueron clasificados como ambulatorios y uno hospitalizado, sin que hasta ahora se hayan presentado fallecimientos<\/strong> debido al tambi\u00e9n llamado mpox. Los informes estad\u00edsticos de este mal, ahora son quincenales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mpox es una abreviaci\u00f3n del nombre original en ingl\u00e9s (monkeypox), con el objetivo de evitar el \u00ablenguaje racista y estigmatizante\u00bb, inform\u00f3 la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de Salud desde el 28 de noviembre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La tasa estatal de incidencia por cada cien mil habitantes es de 0.59, ocupando Tamaulipas el lugar n\u00famero 19 en la tabla nacional, junto con Sinaloa. La encabeza Ciudad de M\u00e9xico con 22.01 y Durango con 0.11 aparece en el \u00faltimo sitio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00edntomas de la viruela del mono<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sus manifestaciones son fiebre, dolor de cabeza intenso, dolores musculares y de espalda, poca energ\u00eda, ganglios linf\u00e1ticos inflamados y erupci\u00f3n cut\u00e1nea o lesiones que pueden ser planas o ligeramente elevadas, llenas de l\u00edquido claro o amarillento y luego pueden formar una costra, secarse y caerse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se transmite al ser humano por contacto estrecho con una persona o animal infectado, sea por contacto con lesiones, l\u00edquidos corporales, got\u00edculas respiratorias y\/o materiales contaminados como la ropa de cama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El 1 de junio de este a\u00f1o, la entonces secretaria de Salud, Gloria Molina advirti\u00f3 de su llegada a Tamaulipas, por lo que gir\u00f3 instrucciones a todo el sector para capacitar al personal m\u00e9dico sobre las enfermedades exantem\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLo que llama la atenci\u00f3n a la OMS es que se est\u00e1n dando casos simult\u00e1neos en muchos pa\u00edses, sin tener ninguna relaci\u00f3n con \u00c1frica, continente de donde emigran estas enfermedades\u201d, expres\u00f3 en aquel momento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es decir, los casos que ya hab\u00eda en el mundo, no estaban teniendo relaci\u00f3n con antecedentes de viajes y contactos con personas de aquellos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
