a los tests cl\u00ednicos en los que se ha <strong>logrado<\/strong> por <strong>primera vez reducir a cero las infecciones de VIH<\/strong> en un grupo de prueba a trav\u00e9s de un f\u00e1rmaco <strong>inyectable<\/strong>, el <strong>lenacapovir<\/strong>, y recomend\u00f3 que el medicamento sea accesible en todo el mundo si futuros ensayos contin\u00faan mostrando esta \u201c<strong>incre\u00edble eficacia<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEstamos extremadamente contentos tras conocer los resultados de los ensayos cl\u00ednicos\u201d, destac\u00f3 en rueda de prensa la experta t\u00e9cnica de la OMS para la lucha contra el VIH\/sida, <strong>Michelle Rodolph.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>lenacapovir<\/strong>, producido por la farmac\u00e9utica estadounidense <strong>Gilead<\/strong>, s\u00f3lo requerir\u00eda dos <strong>inyecciones<\/strong> al a\u00f1o, y en los ensayos ha logrado cero infecciones en un grupo de estudio formando por mujeres cisg\u00e9nero en <strong>Uganda<\/strong> y <strong>Sud\u00e1frica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEsperamos ahora con inter\u00e9s los resultados de los ensayos realizados en hombres que se difundir\u00e1n este a\u00f1o\u201d, subray\u00f3 Rodolph, quien resalt\u00f3 que Gilead todav\u00eda no ha informado de cu\u00e1l ser\u00eda el <strong>precio del f\u00e1rmaco<\/strong> o su llegada al mercado, pero recomend\u00f3 que sea lo m\u00e1s <strong>r\u00e1pida posible<\/strong> y a precios asequibles para el paciente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a <strong>garant\u00eda de tratamientos a nivel global<\/strong> mediante acuerdos con fabricantes, presi\u00f3n sobre el mercado y compra a gran escala para mantener bajos los precios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asimismo, dijo que \u201cpuede impulsarse la competencia a trav\u00e9s de <strong>medicamentos gen\u00e9ricos<\/strong> mediante <strong>cesi\u00f3n<\/strong> voluntaria de <strong>licencias<\/strong>, tecnolog\u00eda y otras medidas para <strong>evitar las barreras<\/strong> de propiedad intelectual\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTodo el mundo deber\u00eda tener <strong>derecho<\/strong> a acceder a <strong>productos capaces de salvar vidas<\/strong> sin importar su lugar de residencia\u201d, asegur\u00f3 la experta, quien record\u00f3 que la OMS ha trabajado con farmac\u00e9uticas con productos similares al ahora probado, como GSK, para <strong>procurar que los precios no sean elevados<\/strong>, \u201cy har\u00e1 lo mismo con alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Los ensayos con <strong>lenacapavir<\/strong>, cuyos resultados se presentaron a finales de junio, involucraron a<strong> 5,300 mujeres adultas y adolescentes cisg\u00e9nero<\/strong> que recibieron bien ese f\u00e1rmaco, bien otros de Gilead tambi\u00e9n preventivos pero por v\u00eda oral y de administraci\u00f3n diaria, Descovy y Truvada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el grupo de <strong>lenacapovir<\/strong> no se registr\u00f3 <strong>ninguna infecci\u00f3n<\/strong>, mientras que en los centrados en las otras dos marcas la incidencia
